The company’s 1st generation roots are in commercial tile, operating on the Boston Post Rd in West Haven, CT.
The 2nd generation grew the company into residential carpet and flooring when it moved to its current location at 92 Sanford St. in Hamden, CT.
“Three generations ago this business began with our grandparents as Sullivan Warehouse. In the early 60’s, Papa Sullivan changed our name to include their son. Sullivan & Son Carpet Inc is now, owned and operated by their grandson and his family.”
With each generation of ownership, the company evolved with a new injection of the entrepreneurial spirit; always honoring legacy and tradition while simultaneously ushering in modern concepts, techniques, and designs.
The Sullivan family is proud to be a longstanding member of the community, having sponsored and coached many youth sports programs as well as volunteering in local senior centers and with child advocacy programs.
The company is currently preparing to launch a whole new division and will be making their announcement into a new market in the coming months.
